Storm Sign Tight End Turned Offensive Lineman

by Logan Hernandez

The Southwest Kansas Storm and Dodge City Dental Care, our exclusive player signee sponsor, are excited to introduce you to our newest and tallest signee, Connor Davis.  Connor is an extremely long and violent offensive lineman hailing from Bel Air, Maryland.  He played his college ball at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York as a primarily blocking tight end, but also spent some time on the offensive line and at defensive end.  His impressive frame (6’8 260lbs) drew the attention of professional football leagues.  That attention has led to opportunities with the Birmingham Iron of the now defunct AAF in 2019, the St. Louis Battlehawks of the USFL in 2020, the New York Jets of the National Football League in 2020-2021, the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League in 2021, the Michigan Panthers of the USFL in 2022, the Houston Roughnecks of the UFL in 2024, and the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL in 2024.  Connor has made a position change to further his career and has bulked up his frame to 300 plus pounds to make the full-time switch to the offensive line.  We asked Coach Thomas about Connor’s projected value to the Storm and he had this to contribute.  “Connor is exactly what we have been looking for…A super long and high-quality blocker!  His athleticism and previous experience provide opportunities to be successful on the defensive line as well under Ironman rules.  Luckily the planets aligned for us to get him signed to a contract.  He is trying to reinvent himself on the football field to make a run at some big money, and we have a platform to give him the exposure that he needs to accomplish his goals.  He instantly makes us a better football team in so many ways.  I’m beyond excited to have him join our already talented roster and football family.”  Fans, please help the Storm and Dodge City Dental Care welcome Connor Davis to Southwest Kansas!”
