Storm Adds Hometown Talent

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Dodge City Dental Care, the exclusive player signee sponsor of the Southwest Kansas Storm, would like to introduce you to our latest signee and Dodge City native, Noah Williams.  Noah is a long athlete with a great frame that could be a factor at multiple positions.   He graduated from Dodge City High School in 2016 as a highly decorated student-athlete.  He was a 4-time letterman in football while earning 1st team all-league and honorable mention all-state honors his senior season.  He was also a 2-time state qualifier in track and field, and an all-league performer in basketball.  Noah’s frame and athleticism earned him a scholarship to perennial power Northwest Missouri State University of the MIAA Conference.  During his career in Maryville the Bearcats saw unparalleled success with an overall record of 57 wins and 10 losses, winning 4 MIAA Championships and 1 NCAA National Championship.  He finished his collegiate career with 39 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, and 1 pass defended.  Since graduation, Noah has joined the faculty of Kansas USD 443 here in Dodge City and teaches 8th grade science while also coaching 8th grade boys basketball and football for the high school.  We asked Coach Thomas what intrigued him about Noah, and he had this to say.  “Once we got a clearer picture of what version of arena/indoor football we were going to be playing, it became obvious that we needed to try to sign Noah.  He has the measurables that we were looking for, and he has the natural traits that coaching can’t provide…size, frame, power, strength, intelligence, and athleticism.  We’re going to try him at multiple positions and see where he brings the most value to the team.  He comes from a great family and is already a respected member of our community, so he should be a tremendous asset to our franchise.”  The Southwest Kansas Storm and Dodge City Dental Care would like to welcome our newest team member, Noah Williams.
